Please note that this work has three flecks of paint loss towards the upper-centre edge of the canvas. There is also a faint vertical line of undulation in the centre of the canvas and a few scuff marks at the extreme lower edge. This condition is in keeping with the artist's wishes to document the painting's journey from Myanmar. For more information: bids@theauctioncollective.com or +44 (0) 7918 880 581.

London based Camberwell graduate, Elliot Fox combines a sense of analogue and digital in his paintings which reflect on everyday life.

"Eggs and Roses was created during my time in Yangon, Myanmar. The streets around my studio were frequented by street food vendors, stray dogs and flower stands and I think this painting attempts to capture a certain place at a certain time whilst taking melancholic view of home."

Elliot's work explores themes of language, meaning and the mechanics of vision. The allure of paint on canvas contrasts with the stilted pixelated lines and shapes that make up Elliot's signature style as an artist in the post-internet era.

Elliot Fox's solo exhibition of sculpture and canvases, Scratching a Different Itch, was held at Golborne Gallery, London in 2017 and drew wide reaching attention, including an article in ID magazine. Selected Group Shows include The Politics of Pink The Dot Project, London, 2018, C'est Quand Demain Coherent, Brussels, 2018 and I'm Fine Copeland Gallery, London, UK.
