Drowning, Not Waving

About the work - The figures carved out are disjointed with their limbs falling and waving around. The work is trying to express those times where you function in day to day life even though you feel disconnected and overwhelmed. The times where nobody notices the struggle because you are simply moving.

Notes

About Briar - “I found my love for painting and ceramics soon after my father passed away. It has been a cathartic way to communicate feelings surrounding grief, trauma, sexuality and heartache in the moments where words don’t do them justice”
